Neu Archetypes

The trickster, cosmic clown; the white healing, goddess woman; the bitchy, knows what she wants and orders it so Queen, are all tarotbly useful and all for conjuring up a role model, but methinks its time to outline some new archetypes.

Some Seriously Consistent Characters:

The chick from the Nasa Diaper Affair
The stalking, delusional devotee. This is the character to avoid riffing. Trying to make gratification as instant (and pit-stop-free efficient) as possible, this brand of short-sighted indulgence forgets the achievement potential in delaying compulsive, lusting desire. Yes, Tolle, I understand the Power of Now, but forgoing the pause, breath and reflection in order to rape the American Dream and get what you want, ASAP just eau de toilettes in the face of integrity, and dignity for that matter. Suspicious about the space association...

Bungles, the Snafu Social Activist, The psychedelic pickler to the pacing, rational scientist? The quick-draw that may have said too much too soon? eg.
The Tim Leary to the Myron Stolaroff?

The Howard Lotsof to the Deborah Mash?

The Mckenna (perhaps poorer example, less of an ostentatious poster-child of radical, indiscriminate drug use,and perhaps Dennis kept him in line) to the Sasha Shulgin (open minded giver of molecular knowledge to experimental beings that he is?)(although these two might be a better example of two who have met more in the middle)

These dudes want to see cultural evolution right now, without attempting really to stay within the system,or work within it's religious branch of science. They feel they're on to something, and the urgency of organizing and spreading the word of alternative realities is tempting to act on immediatly. Knowing discontentment, and feeling dissatisfied with their perceived present condition, intitially they will be powerfully charismatic with the force of their desire while remaining effectively receptive to new experimental modes of living, however after realizing their potential to manipulate those around them, an inflated sense/perception of singular identity (rather than expansive selfnessless) can cause dogmatic attitudes and behaviors and similarly religious convictions. They may not be casual in their dismissal of their past, or indifferently ignore the established lifestyles that they were used to, but rather, may vehemently oppose those modes of living, perhaps, uhm, throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Their quest for transcendence sometimes may lead them to an attitude that ostensibly says "I'm over this planet, I'm going to space and astrally projecting all over some alien/elf breasts."

And one of my personal favorites:
The benevolent, karmicly clean, Lucky Drifter.
He or she gets around, somehow, and isn't quirky on purpose. Playful and seemingly naive he/she just says the darndest things. He might be simple, but he also might just be the genius that actually does get it.
Winnie the Pooh
Forrest Gump
Steve Martin in the Jerk
Johnny Appleseed?
Bill Murray in What About Bob?
The Scarecrow
Michealangelo: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
Data?

What other cosmic stereotypes can we lay on icons presumptuously?
